The four-letter prefix ALTU appears at the start of ISO container identification numbers and is associated with VTG Deutschland GmbH.
A complete container number combines the owner prefix, six-digit serial number, and check digit. The prefix identifies registered equipment ownership and does not always identify the carrier currently transporting the container.
Use the CargoEnter container validator to check the number structure before starting shipment tracking.

A container number starting with ALTU has the four-letter prefix, a six-digit serial number, and one check digit, for example ALTU1234567.
Who uses ALTU containers
