The four-letter prefix CSFU appears at the start of ISO container identification numbers and is associated with CMA CGM.
A complete container number combines the owner prefix, six-digit serial number, and check digit. The prefix identifies registered equipment ownership and does not always identify the carrier currently transporting the container.
Use the CargoEnter container validator to check the number structure before starting shipment tracking.
CSFU container number format
A container number starting with CSFU has the four-letter prefix, a six-digit serial number, and one check digit, for example CSFU1234567.
Who uses CSFU containers
CSFU is registered to CMA CGM. Leased or exchanged equipment can move with a different shipping line, so the prefix alone does not identify the carrier of a shipment.
